The Craigslist love continues

People let me tell you... do you check your local Craigslist?

Seriously you should.

Look at what I scored today.

A desk!

I a thinking paint, new knobs...maybe another stencil.

Only time will tell what I will do.

The reason I liked this desk was for its curvy legs.

It isn't perfect.

But I can totally look past that because of the deal I got on it.

Take a stab on how much I paid for it.

What ever you said...nope.

It was free!

Nada, nothing!

Like I said my friends you need to check out your Craigslist...free section. You just never know what you will find.

  1. i love this pieces. it has great lines.

i'm thinking: charcoal grey lacquer paint, powder blue interior for the drawers for a subtle pop, and a new piece of glass for the top.

and, to me, that would be perfect. :)

  2. I am also obsessed with craigslist free section!! Like stalker type! Make sure in the search area you type in "free" too and check the box that says In title Only or something because a lot of people (around me anyways) put free stuff in other sections too!! I have gotten a lot of stuff that way too! I know... its a sickness!

  5. That desk will look wonderful when you're done with it! I check out the CL free section daily but I'm always too late and someone has beat me to the punch. Have fun painting! Can't wait to see it finished.

  6. I loooooveee Craig's List. Pretty much all my furniture is from there! My favorite piece of furniture is a $15 secretary desk I fixed up and refinished. But here's the best part: I just moved 1,800 miles across the country my new home in to Portland, OR. When I got here, I looked on Craig's List for a dresser and found one (for $20) that is from the EXACT same line that my beloved secretary desk is!!! Imagine that!

When I redo it, I'll post pictures of both on my blog: unkannyadventure.blogspot.com

  7. I am a Craigslist stalker too. Half the furniture in my house came from Craigslist and I buy quite a few things for my antique shop on there. I am going to have to start checking out the free section. Great desk.
