Still here

Do you know where Noah's ark is?

Cuz we are looking for him here in Nashville.

Soooooo, I am stuck in Nashville one more day here with mom.

All flights have been cancelled.

Sorry boys!

My vacation just got extended one more day!

So since mom and I are stuck in the house I wanted to show you what we have been working on.

When mom picked me up from the airport she mentioned that she wants to make a frame for her mirror in the guest bath.

And I said, "Well, let's do it!"

So we did!

Here is the before picture.

We picked out two trims to use together to make the thick frame.

And here's the After:

And here is my cute mom showing off our work.

We used a miter box for the first time by completely ourselves and learned that using caulk is an art form....that we do not possess.

Wanna know how we did it?

Come back tomorrow and I will give you a complete tutorial!

I promise you if we could do it...then you can most definitely do it.

I will be linking to these parties.

  1. That turned out beautifully!!!! We are wanting to do the same to our master bath. Question -what color are the cabinets?

Stay safe in Nashville - hits close to home after living there myself.

  3. I've been thinking about doing the same thing to the mirror in our ensuite bathroom. The mirror goes right to the wall, though, so I was thinking of putting the trim right on top of the mirror...although not sure how good that'd look. I'm curious how you did it, so will be checking in tomorrow! Great job!

  17. Wow, looks fabulous, I have been trying to decide whether to take ours down or do this. I can't wait for you to show me how.

  18. Great job! I did the same thing in our master and hall bathrooms. The only thing I'd do differently next time around would be to use chair rail instead of crown moulding. The crown juts out, whereas chair would lay flat. Great job!
