From the mouth of babes.

Right now we are really working on Wild Man keeping his room clean.

There is always a battle isn't there?

If it isn't keeping the clothes off the floor it is not passing gas in public....and then letting everyone know within a 10 foot radius that you claim it.

Sigh

After I took pictures of my picture frame in my room Wild Man wanted a piece of the action.

I went on downstairs with Romeo while Wild Man took some pictures.

Here is Wild Man's self portrait.

He also took pictures of his prized possessions.

His cars.

And his Hot wheels blanket that Nana made for him.

He even took a picture of the guest room.

Then as he was showing me all of his pictures, he showed me this picture.

I asked what that was.

He said it is your shirt mom.

And then added, look at this picture too mom.

Then he looked at me very seriously and said, "Mom, your room is really messy. You really need to clean it up."

So I may or may not have knocked the clothes off the bed to the floor to take a picture of the frames above the bed. But really who actually keeps their room perfect?

But since we are working on Wild Man keeping a 4 year old version of a perfect room, I better start working on my a little more.

So there you are people, my dirty laundry for the world to see.

One day when I am really daring (and under heavy medication) I will show you my closet.

It's a twofer

Not long after dad passed away I won this print from Hope Ink.

It was one of dad's favorite verses.

I wanted to hang it over my bed.

I have a million and a half frames in my basement, none of them are for a picture that is 12x12.

I have been thinking about building my own frame, but I was too much of a scaredy cat.

Then when mom and I made the frame for her bathroom mirror gave me a little more confidence.

It still took me a couple of months to put my big girl panties on and just do it.

And here she is.

The tutorial will come later this week.

But after making it, I realized that it still too small to go above our bed. Doh!

Back to the basement I went and found this bad boy.

I don't know the exact size, but it is almost to my shoulders.

I am 5'2" so all you math experts...what does that make it?

I kind of went with the same techique as with the frames above my guest bed and painted it.

Then wiped on and wiped off glaze.

And upstairs I went to hang up these babies above the bed.

And found out that our stud finder was broken.

It's like swiss cheese for the walls.

Luckily, since I was not in the mood to spackle all that, the frame covered up all those holes.

Our bedroom is looking a little less like a plain gray box.

One day I will make one of those headboard thingys.

And get some pretty pillows.

It is all on my wish list.

Along with a finished basement, it will all come in due time.

Until then I will enjoy my two for one frame job.

Also, have you all checked out my new blog design?

Kassie from designs by Kassie made it for me!

We almost had to call an ambear alert

8 months ago on Romeo's birthday we took him to Build a Bear.

He LOVED it!

He came up with the name Gus... all on his own.

Mind you at the time Romeo only said about 6 words at the time. So we were thrilled he didn't call him mom, dad, or no.

Gus or sometimes called Gussy is Romeo's best friend.

But not because of the fact that he is cuddly and soft, but because of the tag on his bottom.

My son has a love for tags.

He just loves to rub them til they are worn to nothing.

Yesterday tragedy struck our house.

Gus went missing.

We searched everywhere I could think of in the house and I even looked outside of the house.

I was getting desperate.

GUS WAS NO WHERE!

Due to being completely exhausted, we did eventually get some sleep.

But then as luck would have it, a huge storm came at 5 am.

Thunder and lighting and no electricity.

Because the other love of Romeo's beside his bears butt tag is he night light.

There was lots of screaming which woke up the rest of the house.

With the electricity still out we got out our flash lights and tried to make the most of the situation.

We told "ghost" stories.

About silly monster the lived in our closets and when they jumped out and screamed and scared everyone. They just needed someone to tell them how to say Hi.

Then we played freeze tag with the flash lights.

In so doing...WE FOUND GUS!!!

OH Happy, happy day.

Then we immediately went into a trance and got caught up on our tag rubbing.

Gus will now be chained to the bed.

Best comment EVER!

Isn't facebook such a wondrous thing?

Really how would we keep up with all of our high school friends that we haven't seen since...well high school.

Or in this case a middle school best friend.

My friend Kendra put on her facebook that she was thinking of doing the switch from PC to Mac.

Well considering that Mr. Genius works for Apple and in return Apple pays for my mortgage. I am hoping she makes the switch.

Now I have not always been a big Mac fan. One of my first jobs out of college was selling Dell computers.

Mr. Genius and I were just dating at the time and I knew NOTHING... NOTHING about computers.

During training to work for Dell, you had to take a test everyday over what you learned the day before.

If you didn't pass then you were fired.

It is my God's wisdom that I passed those tests everyday, and for no other reason then that.

Don't believe me?

Well my second day of actually selling computers (BTW I sold them over the phone) a customer called in and asked for a NIC card.

I said sure and put him on hold and then promptly freaked out and called Mr. Genius and screamed "THIS GUY WANTS A NIC CARD!!! WHAT THE HECK IS THAT?!!"

Mr. Genius responded. "Seriously Katie, how did you get that job?"

Anywho back to the comment that I have deemed as the best comment ever.

When Kendra asked for people opinions about switching to mac and boy did she gets some.

Most people said that she should switch and then one person said how expensive they are and that you can get 2 PC laptops for the price of 1 mac book.

Which is true.

Then someone named Scott whom I would love to meet said this;

Therefore the people shall be separated, one from another, the Macs on the right and the PCs on the left. It will be said to the PCs, "we relied on thee but ye crashethed, we took care of thee but ye got many viruses, we called thine helpline, but we couldn't understandeth thy Bangladesh accent." Then they shall be sent away to the endless gnashing of teeth. To the Macs it will be said, "we asked for speed and ye delivered, as fast as the lightning flasheth from the east to the west, we just wanted to get our work done, and ye made it so intuitive and easy for us, we wanted that "wow" factor, and ye were way, way cool." Then they shall enter into eternal paradise, and forever be in peace. Gospel of St. Macintosh, 25:32-46

AWESOME!

Oh and I have had some people asked me to get a feed button, and now I have one at the top of my blog!!

Make a message

I have waaaaaay too many picture frames.

Yet I won't get rid of any of them.

Remember this project?

9 frames!!

And there are still too many to admit to in my basement, just sitting there.

Here is one more picture frame I took out of the stash.

This is wild man at 3 months!

How I miss that sweet baby face.

I did take that sweet picture out and made it into a dry erase message board.

With a message that I need to remind myself of everyday...many times a day.

This board will also be good for reminding the boys of things.

If the glare is too much, it says,

Hands belong on the outside of your pants.

Ah the life with boys.

The problem is, they can't read yet.

So the board will more then likely be made to keep up with our weekly schedule.

I realized looking at the picture that it looks like on Monday that poo is on the list of to do. But that would be pool.

But a poo with a successful wipeage of thyself would be a wonderful thing in this house.

Other then that, not much going on this week.

I will be showing how I made this later on this week.

I am beat and am going to sleep.

Nite, nite.

I am posting to these parties.
